League History

Meet Jay, Founder of NJCS

I jump out of bed with a big smile on my face each morning. The feeling that nothing can ruin my mood is often inspired by the many experiences, ideas, and projects that occupy my life. As I sip this awesome cup of coffee, I can happily look back at a rewarding 17 year career in real estate title insurance, a part time music career, and my newest creation, NJ Coed Sports.

I am an architect of change, a passionate believer in entrepreneurship, and have used these life experiences to create outcomes that matter at NJ Coed. This league is more than a job; It’s a mission to continue to bring people together the old fashion “analogue” way – through human interaction. If I can make someone put their phone down for a few hours each night or get them off the couch after work and put them in a perfect organized, fun, social setting then MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!

My formal education in Business Management and Music Performance comes from Caldwell University. The US Army National Guard taught me leadership and discipline, and my parents taught me honesty and respect. I taught myself the perfect salsa recipe.

In my spare time – when I’m sleeping, I find myself dreaming about how I have absolutely no spare time; reasons why I’m an exceptionally gifted napper. I’m also a fierce parallel parker and can hurl multiple dodgeballs at my opponents at unflagging speeds and with deadly accuracy.

So welcome to NJ Coed Sports! My hopes are that you enjoy your time here and that your participation brings you awesome experiences and lasting friendships. Although, real estate is how I make my cheddar, I will continue to run coed sports leagues for all my friends as long as you allow me to.

Let’s grow old together,

Jay Oliva
